Fundamentals of Project Management

According to the latest Project Management Institute (PMI®) research, 66% organizations say it’s difficult to find professionals with technical project management skills, but the same research also indicate that 96% of these organizations also think that these technical skills are teachable.

BARYA Consulting Services established in 2012, is privileged to be the First and ONLY PMI® Authorized Training Partner (A.T.P) in Afghanistan (ID 4181) under the PMI’s new training program since 2020, and PMIs first Registered Education Provider (R.E.P) in the country since 2015; we have been in service since 2012, and providing PMP Exam Preparation training since 2013.

Our fundamentals of Project Management course is designed in light of best industry standards and adapted to the business realities of Afghanistan.

This course also provides foundational knowledge project scope, costing, scheduling and risks, for detail and professional knowledge of these areas are provided in our extensive course on the mentioned subjects.

> Introduction to Project, Project Management Framework and alignment with organizational goals (Project Charter/ SoW)
> Project Scope Definition, requirements gathering
> Project Time Management, scheduling, CPM
> Project Cost Management, Cost Estimation, Budgeting
> Project Risks, Quality, Team and Stakeholder Management
> Project Closing
Learning Objectives: At the end of the training:
– The participants will learn the professional terms and definition of the trade
– Participants will be able to develop Project Statement of Work (SoW)
– Participants will be able to develop project schedule and understand Project Critical Path Method (CPM) and Network Diagram
– Participants will be able to develop project budget and learn foundation of estimation
– Participants will understand the dynamics of project team and how to work and manage project team.
– Participants will learn how to professionally and legally close a project and release a project team

Teaching Methodology
The training will be instructor led, and will involve spending 60% of the total duration of the training on group/practical work. The teaching methodology will be a mix of Group Work, Role Play, Case Studies and Presentations

Mr. Qudratullah Hiwadpal is PMP® certified, PMI® vetted PMP® instructor, with Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) and Executive Master’s in Science (IT), with more 24 years of professional experience in leading some of the most complex national and international projects. He is Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP™), Certified SCRUM and AGILE Practitioner and Trainer.
